Benzer and Gianadda Represent the Griffs at Gator Invitational

Freshmen Libby Benzer and Michael Gianadda were the lone Golden Griffins to compete in Friday's Gator Invitational in Meadville, Pa.

Gianadda ran in section one of the men's 1500, crossing the line in 10th position (19th overall). The Buffalo, N.Y. natives time of 4:35.20 is a career-best, surpassing his time of 4:37.27 that he set at the Dave Labor Invitational on April 6.

Benzer finished eighth overall with a mark of 5:20.75 in the women's 1500.

Senior Austin Oetinger ran unattached in the 1500 and finished with a time of 4:02.95 in fifth place.

Seniors Carlin Sullivan and Siobhan Quinn will run in the 10K at the ECAC Championships in Princeton, N.J. tomorrow evening. Quinn will be a race time decision for the Griffs.
