Indoor Track Places 23 Student-Athletes to the MAAC All-Academic Team

A total of 23 members of the Canisius men's and women's indoor track teams were recognized as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its All-Academic Teams on Friday.
 
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
 
The women's team placed 10 runners on the MAAC All-Academic Team. Sacred Heart led the way with 67 selections, followed by Quinnipiac with 32 and Marist with 29.
 
The men's team had 13 Griffs on the MAAC All-Academic Team. Sacred Heart led all MAAC schools with 42 selections, followed by Marist with 28 and Merrimack with 22.
 
The Griffs are set to compete at the 2026 MAAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday in New York, N.Y. Day one will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a 5 p.m. start on Sunday with both days being streamed live on ESPN+.
