Highlighted by a silver medal in the women's DMR, the Canisius mens and women's indoor track teams took part in day one of the 2025 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in New York City on Saturday.

The women's DMR team of senior Kayla Schmidt, graduate students Stephanie Seyfang and Jules Jones and junior Jacqueline Appenheimer took home the silver medal with a time of 12:17.42. Appenheimer also qualified for the finals of the women's one mile race, crossing the line in 5:04.30

On the men's side, freshman Ryan Giglia qualified for the men's one mile final with a time of 4:19.57. Junior Brody Jones qualified for the men's 800m final, crossing the line in 1:57.39.
