Outdoor Track Places 23 Student-Athletes on MAAC All-Academic Teams

A total of 23 members of the Canisius men's and women's outdoor track teams were recognized as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its All-Academic Teams on Friday.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

The Canisius men had 14 runners garner MAAC All-Academic Team distinction. Leading all conference schools was Sacred Heart with 43 All-Academic Team selections. Marist followed with 28, and Merrimack rounded out the top three with 26 selections.

The women's team placed nine runners on the MAAC All-Academic Team. Sacred Heart led the way with 69 selections, followed by Quinnipiac (33) and Merrimack (32).

The 2026 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled to be held Saturday through Sunday at Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Md.
