FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Canisius Starts Final Road Stretch Friday

The Canisius men's basketball team heads out on the road for the final time during the 2021-22 season, starting Friday when the team plays at Iona. Game time in New Rochelle, N.Y., is set for 7 p.m., and the contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

2. Series History vs. Iona
Friday will be the 80th all-time meeting between these two schools in a series that dates back to Feb. 19, 1955. Iona has defeated Canisius in six straight and holds a 46-33 series lead.


3. Taking Care of the Rock
After averaging 13.3 turnovers per game in three contest from Feb. 1-6, the Golden Griffins have been much better with the ball of late, as the Blue and Gold enter Friday's contest at Iona averaging just 9.7 turnovers per game. Overall, the Griffs are tied for third in the MAAC with 12.0 turnovers per game, which also ties the team for 105th nationally.


4. Happy to Help
Senior Ahamadou Fofana had dished out a game-high six assists in the team'
s loss to Niagara last Saturday, the 23rd time this season where he's recorded multiple assists in a game. The team's leader with 3.3 assists per contest this season, Fofana ranks fifth in the MAAC, and in league action, he's good for 3.1 assists per outing.

5. Henderson Hits 'Em in MAAC Games
Senior Jordan Henderson scored a team-high 13 points in the loss to Niagara last Saturday, extending his streak of double-digits in the scoring column to four straight. In league games this season, Henderson is averaging a team-high 12.7 points per game, highlighted by his scoring average in the Griffs' last five outings, where he's been good for 14.8 points per game.
