FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Canisius - Niagara Returns to the KAC

The Canisius men's basketball team hosts long-time rival Niagara Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center. Saturday's game will mark the first time the Purple Eagles have played on Main Street since March 5, 2020 - a span of 716 days.

2. Series History vs. Niagara
Saturday will be the 189th all-time meeting between these two rival schools. Niagara has held control of the series lately, having taken seven of the last 10 meetings, including the first this season - a 68-58 win for the Purple Eagles back on Jan. 13, 2022.


3. Canisius in the Close Ones
Canisius fell to 4-4 in the year in games decided by five points or less after the Blue and Gold fell to Fairfield, 80-76 in overtime, on Monday. Each of the Griffs' last two games have been decided by a total of five points.


4. Home Threes
Canisius enters Saturday's game averaging 9.3 3-point field goals per game at the Koessler Athletic Center. For the season, Canisius is averaging 7.7 3-pointers per game, which ranks fourth-best in the MAAC.

Senior Ahamadou Fofana had four assists in the loss at Fairfield Monday, the 22nd time this season he's been credited with multiple assists. For the season, he is averaging 3.2 assists per game, which ranks sixth-best in the MAAC.
