FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Canisius Wraps Up Road Trip at Siena

The Canisius men's basketball team will close out its three-game MAAC road trip Tuesday night when the Golden Griffins play at Siena. Game time at MVP Arena in downtown Albany, N.Y., is set for 7 p.m. The game, which will be broadcast live on ESPN3, was originally scheduled to be played Jan. 2, but was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the Canisius program.

2. Series History vs. Siena
Tuesday will be the 107th all-time meeting between Canisius and Siena. In terms of games played, Canisius has battled Siena more times
(106) than any other MAAC rival, other than Niagara, who the Griffs have played 188 times. The Saints lead the series 56-50, however, the Griffs have claimed 15 of the last 18 games between the schools, dating back to the 2012-13 campaign.

3. Chances It Will Be Close
Five of the last eight games between Canisius and Siena have been decided by six points or less, including the last meeting, where the Griffs scored a 76-75 win over the Saints on the final day of the 2020-21 regular season. All-time, 27 of the previous 106 meetings have been decided by five points or less, with Siena holding a 14-13 advantage in that portion of the series.

4. Plenty of Close Contests
Canisius' 72-57 loss at Monmouth Jan. 28 moved the Griffs to 4-2 this year in games decided by five points or less. Dating back to Jan. 16 at Manhattan, four of Canisius' last six games have been decided by five points or fewer, with Canisius scoring two wins in that span.

5. Ahemed Building Steam
Junior guard Akrum Ahemed came off the bench on Sunday at Rider and scored 10 points, the third time in his last six games where he's scored in double figures. The 10-point effort at Rider followed an 11-point performance Jan. 28 at Monmouth, giving him 10-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Over the team's last five games, Ahemed is 5.8 points per game and he ranks third on the squad with six makes from 3-point land.
