Delveion Jackson Signs NLI to Join Men’s Basketball Program

Canisius head men's basketball coach Reggie Witherspoon announced Friday that Delveion Jackson (Boise, Idaho) has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Griffin men's basketball program for the 2021-22 season.

Jackson is the second newcomer to the Canisius program this offseason, joining guard Tahj Staveskie, who signed his National Letter of Intent in late April.

Delveion Jackson | 6-7 | 220 | G/F | Boise, Idaho | North Idaho College | Centennial High School
• Played the 2020-21 season at North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Golden Griffins, starting with the 2021-22 season.
• Jackson helped North Idaho to a 4-1 record in the 2020-21 season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Prior to joining the North Idaho program, he started his collegiate career in 2017-18 as a member of the UC Davis program. There, he played 18 games for the Aggies.
• As a senior at Centennial High School, he averaged 15.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game en route to being named an All-Idaho State 5A First-Team honoree.
• Helped lead his high school team to a Southern Idaho Conference regular-season championship and a second-place finish in the Idaho State 5A Boy's Basketball Tournament.

Witherspoon on Jackson: "We are very happy to have Delveion be a part of our men's basketball program. We are excited about his maturity level, his dedication and his commitment to his personal growth as a student-athlete."
