Five Things to Know - Presented by Salvatore's
1. Canisius Opens Final Homestand on Thursday
• The Canisius men's basketball team
will open its final two-game MAAC homestand of the season on Thursday, when the Golden Griffins play host to Iona at the Koessler Athletic Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The home date with Iona starts a stretch where the Blue and Gold are set to play three of their final four games of the season inside the KAC.

2. A Win For The Ages
•
The Griffs' 57-56 come-from-behind win over Manhattan on Sunday marked the Blue and Gold's biggest comeback victory since Dec. 2, 2016, when Canisius erased a 15-point deficit to earn a 77-76 win at Manhattan. In Sunday's game, Canisius trailed by as many as 18 points before holding the Jaspers to just 29.2 percent from the field in the game's second half, including a 1-for-6 clip from 3-point range.

3. Winning With Less
• Canisius' 57-point effort in the win over Manhattan on Sunday marked the first time the Griffs won a game despite not posting 60 points on the scoreboard since Dec. 30, 2008, when Canisius defeated Main3 56-43 on the road. Prior to Sunday's win, the last time Canisius won a MAAC game without reach 60 points came on Jan. 20, 1997 - a 57-50 home victory over Loyola (Md.).

4. Brandon's Hot Half

• Junior Majesty Brandon led all scorers with 20 points in the win at Manhattan, and he scored all 20 of those points in the game's second half. Brandon hit six shots after halftime, including three 3-point field goals, and he drained five free-throws as well, including the two charity tosses that put the Griffs ahead for good with 13.3 seconds left to play.

5. Johnson Needs Just Two
• Senior Malik Johnson starts Thursday's game two assists shy of passing former Griffs guard Frank Turner for the program's all-time assist record. Turner dished out 616 assists in his career on Main Street from 2006-10. Johnson also had three steals in the win over Manhattan on Sunday, leaving him six steals shy of becoming the third player in school history to record 200-or more steals for his career.
