Five Things to Know - Presented by Salvatore's
1. Canisius and Fairfield Close Season Series Sunday
• The Canisius men's basketball team closes out the regular-season series
with Fairfield, as the Golden Griffins and Stags meet Sunday afternoon at Fairfield's Alumni Hall. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. The Griffs saw their three-game win streak come to an end on Friday after falling to Iona on the road, 69-66. That three-point loss dropped Canisius to 1-4 in MAAC games decided by five-points or less this year.

2. Helping Hands
•
The MAAC's top team in assists per game average, Canisius was credited with 15 assists on 24 field goal makes in the game Friday at Iona. The Griffs' 14.6 assists per game ranks first in the MAAC and 79th in the country in that category. In each of the previous three seasons under head coach Reggie Witherspoon, Canisius has finished in the top-100 nationally in assists per game average as a team.

3. Malik Johnson - Mr. Everything
•
Canisius senior Malik Johnson enters Sunday's game ranked 13th in the MAAC in scoring with his 13.2 points per game, while ranking sixth in rebounding (6.2), first in assists (6.2), first in steals (2.3) and first in minutes per game (38.2). On Sunday, the Richmond, Va., native set the program record for career starts at 119, passing former Griffs forward and Canisius Hall of Famer Micheal Meeks.

4. Back-to-Back Double-Doubles
• Malik Johnson became the first Canisius player since Jamal Reynolds in 2014-15 to record back-to-back double-double efforts after he grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 10 assists at Iona on Friday. He is the first Canisius player in the last 30 seasons to record a double-double that did not include 10-or-more points being scored.

5. No. 3 for Three
• Canisius sophomore Jordan Henderson posted a career-high 20 points at Iona on Friday, with 12 of those points coming on the power of four 3-point field goals. In the last five games, Henderson is shooting 52.6 percent (10-for-19) from long-range, with eight of those 3-pointer coming in the last two contests.
