Five Things to Know Before Canisius Squares Off With Siena
1. Griffs Open MAAC Play With a Win
• Canisius opened the MAAC portion of the 2018-19 schedule on Thursday with a 75-72 win at Marist, the program's seventh-straight MAAC opening victory, dating back to 2012-13. All-time, Canisius is 16-14 in MAAC openers, and the Griffs have won the last three of those games by a total of five points.

2. Not In a Giving Mood
• Canisius was charged with 12 turnovers in the win over Marist on Thursday, with only five coming after the halftime break. All five of those second-half turnovers came in the first 10-plus minutes of the second stanza, as the Griffs closed the final 9:12 of the game without a miscue. Canisius enters Saturday's game averaging 13.5 turnovers per game, which is tied for fifth in the MAAC.

3. Faulkner Fuel, Again
• Jibreel Faulkner scored a career-high 18 points in the win at Marist on Thursday, with 12 of those points coming off a career-high four makes from 3-point land. In the team's last fiv contests, the Washington, D.C., native is averaging 11.2 points per game and he's shooting 50.0 percent (10-for-20) from 3-point land.

4. Molson Keeps Scoring
• Canisius sophomore Takal Molson extended his streak of scoring in double-figures to 16 games when he posted a team-high 19 points in the win over Marist on Thursday. Molson, who ranks fourth in the MAAC in scoring average, went to the free-throw line 12 times against the Red Foxes, hitting eight. He enters Saturday's game ranked second in the MAAC in free-throw attempts, and his 64 makes at the stripe rank him 64th in the nation.

5. Lotts of Offensive Rebounds
• Senior Marcale Lotts grabbed a season-high six rebounds in the win over Marist, with five of those rebounds coming off the offensive glass. In his 35 career games as a Griff, Lotts has 37 offensive rebounds to go along with 32 defensive boards.
