Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays at Fairfield
1. Winning When Close
• Canisius snapped a three-game losing streak on Thursday with a 65-63 win at Quinnipiac. That win moved the Griffs to 3-1 on the season when the final score was decided by five points or less, and all three of those wins have come in MAAC play.

2. Road Dogs
• Canisius starts Saturday as one of 30 teams in the nation with five or more road wins after the team beat Quinnipiac in Hamden, Conn., Thursday night. Three of those five victories have come in MAAC play, and the Griffs' five road wins to date are the most of any team in the conference.

3. It's Been a While
• When Canisius and Fairfield meet on Saturday, the game will be played in the Stags' on-campus home, Alumni Hall. The Griffs, who did not play at Fairfield last season thanks to the league's 18-game schedule, will be playing in Alumni Hall for the first time since the 2000-01 season.

4. Reese 1K
• Junior Isaiah Reese became the 38th player in program history to reach the famed 1,000-career point mark with a 3-point field goal late in the first half Thursday at Quinnipiac. Reese, the first Florida-born player in school history to score 1,000 points as a Griff, is the ninth junior to reach the famed scoring milestone.

5. Hitchon Hits From Three
• Sophomore Scott Hitchon scored 15 points in the win over Quinnipiac on Thursday thanks to his career-high three makes from 3-point land. The Whitby, Ontario native is good for 8.0 points per game this year, and 8.6 points per game in league games.
