Five Things to Know Before Canisius Battles Iona
1. Griffs Looking to End The Home Slide
• Canisius enters Sunday's game against three-time defending MAAC champion Iona looking to end a three-game home losing streak, which dates back to the team's Dec. 29 loss to Buffalo. The Golden Griffins lost at home to Rider 82-73 on Friday after the team turned the ball over 13 times in the second half, which resulted in 18 points for the visiting Broncs. Last year, Canisius went 11-3 at home, the team's sixth-straight year with a record of .500 or better in the Koessler Athletic Center.

2. Hitting Their Threes
• After making a season-low three 3-pointers in the road win at Siena Jan. 5, Canisius has knocked down 24 treys in its last two outings, including 11 in the loss to Rider on Friday. The 13 makes from long-range in the overtime loss to Brown Jan. 8 are a season-high for the Blue and Gold. Since the start of the 2012-13 season, Canisius has hit 10-or more 3-point field goals in 70 games.

3. Reese Moving Up The Charts
• Canisius junior Isaiah Reese had a game-high four steals against Rider on Friday, his third-straight game with multiple steals, dating back to his season-high five swipes in the win at Siena Jan. 5. The four steals Friday night moved him into eighth place all-time in program history with 145 to his credit. Offensively, Reese enters Sunday's game 14 points shy of becoming the 38th player in school history to reach the famed 1,000-point milestone.

4. Johnson Now Top-10 In Help
• Junior Malik Johnson was good for five assists in the Rider game Friday, the 37th time in his career where he's posted five-or more assists in a game for Canisius. With those five assists, he now ranks 10th in program history in career assists with 345.

5. Block Party
• Sophomores Scott Hitchon and Jalanni White are tied for sixth in the MAAC in blocked shots per game at 0.7 per contest this season. White, who has a block in four of the team's last five outings, had a team-high two blocks to his credit Friday against Rider. As a team, Canisius is good for 3.2 blocks per game, which ranks third in the MAAC.
