Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays at Marist
1. A Lot, But Not Enough
• Canisius set a new program record for points in a half Jan. 27, as the Golden Griffins scored 64 second-half points in the team's 105-89 loss to long-time rival Niagara. The 64 points bested the previous record of 63, set Jan. 10, 1979 when Canisius beat Maine at home.

2. A Team That Shares
• Canisius enters Friday's game at Marist ranked first in the MAAC and 18th in the nation in assists per game average, with the Griffs dishing out an average of 17.3 assists per contest this season. Sophomores Isaiah Reese (109 assists) and Malik Johnson (104 assists) account for 56 percent of Canisius' assists to date. The Griffs are the only team in the nation to have two players rank among the country's top-100 in assists per game average, with Reese ranking 70th and Johnson ranking 90th in the nation in assists per game average.

3. Crumpton's Career Night
• Senior Jermaine Crumpton matched a career-high with 32 points in the team's loss to Niagara last Saturday, his third career game with 30-or more points scored. He is just the ninth Griff in school history to score more than 30 points in a home game on the floor at the Koessler Athletic Center, and his 32-point performance stands as the best scoring output by a Canisius player in a home game since former Griff Billy Baron had 38 points in a home win over Marist Jan. 26, 2014.

4. Reese Orders a Double-Double
• Canisius sophomore Isaiah Reese recorded his second career double-double Jan. 27 in the loss to Niagara when he posted 14 points and 10 assists. Reese, who has now scored in double-figures in four straight and in nine of the team's last 10 games, ranks seventh in the conference in scoring average with 16.4 points per game, while ranking fifth in assists per game at 5.0 assists per contest. Reese leads the MAAC, and ranks 18th nationally, with 2.3 steals per game as well.

5. Molson Among MAAC Leaders
• Canisius freshman Takal Molson ranks third among all MAAC rookies in scoring average with 12.8 points per game after he scored 18 points in the loss to Niagara last Saturday night. The Buffalo native is averaging 16.7 points per game in nine league games to date, which ranks seventh among all players in conference contests.
