ON THE TEE
• The Canisius golf team returns to action Sept. 21-22 when the Golden Griffins take part in the John MacDonald Temple Invitational at The 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
• This tournament format will be 54 holes, with two rounds scheduled for Monday and the final round set for Tuesday.
• This marks the second time Canisius has played at The 1912 Club. In the fall of 2022, Cornell and Temple co-hosted a 54-hole event at this course.
• For the first time, the event will be named after Temple Hall of Famer John MacDonald, who coached the Owls' golf program from 1971-2001.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Griffs placed second behind tournament champion St. Bonaventure at the 72n edition of the Little Three Championship on Sept. 8.
• Graduate student Matthew Santini tied for second in the field at the Little Three with his two-round score of 142, which was two-over par.
• Both St. Bonaventure and Niagara are in the field this week at the John MacDonald Temple Invitational.

UP NEXT
• Canisius will open the month of October at the Matthews Auto Collegiate, which is hosted by Binghamton, at the Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, N.Y.
