Weeks Named MAAC Player of the Week

Junior Eric Weeks was named the Northeast Beef MAAC Baseball Player of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native was locked in at the plate for Canisius this past week. In the midweek win over Le Moyne, Weeks went 3-for-6 with two home runs and a double, driving in seven and scoring three times. He carried that momentum into the weekend at Manhattan, going 6-for-13 with six RBI, two home runs, and a double.

The infielder finished the week 9-for-19, racking up 13 RBI, five runs scored, four homers, and two doubles.

The Griffs return to action on April 28 as they host Baldwin Wallace in a non-conference matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex
