ON THE TEE
• The Canisius golf team returns to action Wednesday when the Golden Griffins take part in the 71st edition of the Little Three Golf Championship.
• This year's tournament, which is hosted by Niagara, will be played at Niagara Frontier Golf Club in Youngstown, N.Y. This marks the first time the event has been played at Niagara Frontier G.C.
• St. Bonaventure won the 2024 team championship at Crag Burn Golf Club in East Aurora, N.Y., with a two-round team score of 579. The Bonnies enter this year's tournament having won eight-straight Little Three titles.

SOME LITTLE THREE HISTORY
• This marks the 71st playing of the Little Three Championship, which features Canisius, Niagara and St. Bonaventure. The Little Three is the third-most played college golf tournament in the country
• St. Bonaventure has won the team title a record 46 times in the history of the event, with its most recent championship coming last year. The Bonnies' current stretch with eight-straight tournament championships is tournament's record for consecutive wins by a single school. St. Bonaventure also won six-straight Little Three crowns from 1992-97 and then again from 2004-09.
• In 2024, Canisius' Mikey Takacs fired a two-under-par score of 70 in the second round at Crag Burn Golf Club to earn a share of the tournament's individual championship. His two-round score of 142 (-2) made him the first Golden Griffin golfer to win the event's individual medalist honors since Hunter Sagar won the title in a four-hole playoff in 2014.

UP NEXT
