Outdoor Track Wraps up MAAC Championships Appearance Sunday

Tdhe Canisius men's and women's outdoor track teams completed the second and final day of competition in the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships Sunday at Rider University's Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex in Lawrenceville, N.J.

Freshman Ryan Giglia placed sixth in the men's 800m final, crossing the finish line in 1:55.15, nearly four-tenths of a second faster than his preliminary time.

Graduate Max Chew finished in 12th place in the men's 1500m meter final with a time of 4:04.34.

Sophomore Kyle Urban finished sixth in the men's 5000m race, crossing the finish line in 15:01.95. In the women's 5000m, junior Kayla Schmidt placed eighth with a time of 17:55.66.

Junior Jacqueline Appenheimer took eighth in the women's 1500m final, posting a time of 4:49.48.

The men's 4x800 relay featuring junior Braden Tent, graduate student Kevin Board, freshman Fenway Breckels and junior Brody Jones placed fourth, crossing the line in 7:54.35

The women's 4x800m relay, consisting of freshman Clara Sundberg, senior Taylor Heschke, Appenheimer and sophomore Payton Calkins took fifth with a time of 9:26.44.
