The Canisius golf team will close out the 2025 fall season Oct. 12-14 when the Golden Griffins take part in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.

ON THE TEE
• Canisius returns to the course Oct. 12-14 when the Golden Griffins take part in the Bucknell Invitational.
• The Bucknell Invitational is a 54-hole event played over three days (18 holes each day).
• The Griffs will be one of five MAAC teams in this year's event, where they will be joined by Manhattan, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara and Rider.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Canisius golf team finished 11th in the 13-team Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational, held Oct. 5-6 at The Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, N.Y.
• Junior Mikey Takacs finished tied for 11th in the field after he posted a 36-hole score of 142 (-2). In the opening round, the Iowa City, Iowa, native shot a five-under par score of 67.
• That 67 for Takacs matched his career low, and it also marked the second time this fall season where he's posted a 67 on his scorecard.
• In the second round, freshman Blake Furtney posted a season-low score of 72, which was one-under par. Fellow freshman Adam Cichowski finished the tournament tied for 57th after he shot a two-round total of 152 (+8).
