Christian and Swoffard Set to Throw Out First Pitches at Bisons Games

Canisius head men's basketball coach Jim Christian and women's basketball head coach Tiffany Swoffard are scheduled to throw out ceremonial first pitches at a pair of Buffalo Bisons' home games this week, the Canisius athletic department announced Tuesday.

Christian, who was named the 25th head coach in Canisius men's basketball program history on April 8, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch at Sahlen's Field before the Bisons' home game against Omaha on Wednesday, Aug. 21. That game is scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m.

Swoffard will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Friday, Aug. 23 as the Bisons host their annual Women in Sports Night at Sahlen's Field. That game, which will also be played against Omaha, is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. Swoffard was hired as the 11th head coach in Canisius women's basketball history on April 17.
