? The baseball team continues its eight-game homestand when it plays host to Little Three rival St. Bonaventure Tuesday for a pair of contests in the back half of a home-and-home series. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. from the Demske Sports Complex with both contests being aired on ESPN+. • The Griffs close out  Saint Peter's later in the week for a three-game set that begins Friday with first pitch set for 3 p.m.
? The Blue and Gold took two of three games from Quinnipiac over the weekend, improving to 9-3 in conference play. Canisius was victorious the first two games, winning 7-6 and 15-9 before dropping the series finale, 10-8. Junior Matt Duffy fanned 11 batters Friday, earning his fourth straight conference win in as many starts. Senior Chris Pouliot followed suit on Saturday, punching out 11 Bobcats of his own in six innings for his first victory of the season. Junior Levi Abbott earned his second career save on Saturday, tossing three innings of relief ball.
? Graduate Dylan Vincent had a strong weekend at the plate in his return to the lineup. Vincent went 5-for-13 with four runs, five RBI, two doubles, a triple and home run. Sophomore Jackson Strong also had a successful weekend against Quinnipiac, hitting home runs on Saturday and Sunday en route to his 5-for-15 week. The outfielder also scored three runs and drove in four from the leadoff spot.

April 28-30: at Penn Relays | All Day

• Select members of the Canisius men's and women's outdoor track teams will take part in the prestigious Penn Relays this weekend at Benjamin Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
• Graduate Michael Peppy and senior Tom Appenheimer will compete for the men, with Peppy running in the men's 5,000-meter race and Appenheimer taking part in the men's 10,000-meter race. Senior Olivia Moran is slated to compete in the women's 5,000-meter race.
• A pair of event wins and numerous top-10 finishes served as the highlights for the men's and women's outdoor track teams in the UB Alumni Invite April 22 at the UB Track Stadium in Buffalo.
• Junior Maura Jordan took first in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 26.93. Moran also picked up an event win, taking first in the women's 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:40.98.

April 30: vs Robert Morris/Mercyhurst/D'Youville | 10:15 a.m.  
 

• The rowing team returns home for their lone event of the spring season as they welcome Robert Morris, D'Youville and Mercyhurst to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fontana Boathouse on April 30. Racing is set to commence at 10:15 a.m.
• Last week in the Colgate Regatta, the varsity eight and second varsity eight boats each secured second place finishes in their respective petite finals. The 1V8 boat finished with atime of 7:15.00 while the 2V8 shell wrapped up their heat with a time of 7:25.04. Both boats finished above Robert Morris in each of their final races.
• After this weekend's races, the Blue and Gold will spend the next couple weeks training for MAAC Championships on May 12. Racing from Fish Creek is set to start at 10 a.m.

• The softball team plays a pair of contests this week when it travels north to Lewiston to square off against Battle of the Bridge rival Niagara on Wednesday. First pitch of the twinbill is slated for 3 p.m.
• The Griffs return home with four conference road wins, the second straight weekend that the team has picked up four MAAC victories. Canisius defeated Saint Peter's on Saturday by scores of 10-2 and 9-6 before sweeping Manhattan, 3-0 and 5-3. The Blue and Gold are now 7-1 on the road against MAAC opponents this season. Sophomore Rosie Gomez drove in five runs during the weekend, giving her 21 total RBI in 14 league games this season. Freshman Rylee Alfaro went 5-for-10 with three runs and three RBI, including her first career home run Saturday at Saint Peter's.
• Junior Megan Giese moved up in the record book on Sunday with her first strikeout in the opening frame against the Jaspers. Giese passed Lindsay Garbacz for fifth all-time with 385 career punch outs. Giese now has 395 career strikeouts to her name. The righty has fanned 138 batters in 120 innings this season, including 71 punch outs in 51 frames in league play. The 138 Ks is tied with Kristin Spak (1995) for the 12th-most strikeouts in a season in program history. Giese is also ranked fourth all-time after fanning 185 batters in 2022.

• The women's lacrosse team begins its quest for a seventh MAAC title as it travels to four-seeded Quinnipiac Sunday for a first-round contest in the 2023 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship. This is the 14th consecutive season that Canisius has made the postseason, dating back to 2008.
• Against Fairfield on April 22, graduate student midfielderSkylar McArthurnetted her 100th career goal, becoming the first player sinceJen Reninger to accomplish the feat.
• 
• The winner of Sunday's first-round contest will advance to the semifinal round, where they will face either top-seeded Fairfield or second-seeded Siena on May 5.
