• On the Tee
The Canisius golf team kicks off its spring season this weekend in Urbana, Md., as the Golden Griffins take part in the 2023 Carpetbagger Classic, hosted by Binghamton. The event, which features 18 holes of golf on both March 18 and March 19, will be played at Worthington Manor Golf Club, a par-72 hole course.

• Senior Leader
Senior Shane Broad paced the Griffs during the fall, posting a team-best stroke average of 73.6. Broad had his best finish at the Matthews Auto Collegiate, finishing tied for 12th.

• MAAC Honors
Sophomore Ryan Edholm also enjoyed a solid fall, as he was named MAAC Men's Golfer of the Month for September. Edholm was the first Canisius golfer to earn the honor since David Hanes was recognized as the league's top player for the month of October, 2016.

• Top Three
At the Cornell/Temple Invitational during the fall season, Edholm earned his first career top-five finish by placing third at the event. Edholm shot a 69 in the first round and 71 in the second to finish with a score of 139, his career best for a two-round tournament.

• Up Next
The Golden Griffins return to action on April 3 when they participate in the Southern Invitational. The event will run from April 3-4 in Palm Beach, Fla.
