Golf Opens Fall Season at Colgate

Canisius sophomore Ryan Edholm shot an even-par 72 and senior Shane Broad posted a second-round score of 73 to push each player into the top-40 of the field after two rounds of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational at Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y.

Edholm's 72 in the second round on Saturday allowed him to move 20 paces up the leaderboard. His two-round score of 149 has him in a two-way tie for 39th in the field. Broad's 73 in the second round followed his opening round score of 75. His two-round tally of 148 ties him with six other players in the field for 32nd.

As a team, Canisius is in 14th place after two rounds with a team score of 616. Seton Hall leads the team event with a two-round team score of 557.

The third and final round of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational is scheduled to tee-off Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
