FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Canisius Starts a Three-Game Road Trip Down the Shore

The Canisius men's basketball team opens up a three-game road trip at Monmouth on Friday night, with tip-off between the Golden Griffins and the Hawks set for 6 p.m. Canisius' game at Monmouth, located in West Long Branch, N.J., will mark the Griffs' fourth-straight game against one of the MAAC's New Jersey-based schools. Friday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

2. Series History vs. Monmouth
This game will be the 20th all-time meeting between these two programs in a series that Monmouth leads 13-6. This will also mark the final scheduled regular-season meeting between the Griffs and the Hawks, as Monmouth announced on Tuesday that it will leave the MAAC to join the CAA next academic year. Canisius is 2-7 all-time at Monmouth, with both wins coming under current head coach Reggie Witherspoon.

3. Canisius' Version of Scorigami
Each of Canisius' last two home wins over Saint Peter's have come by the final score of 63-60. In the 118-year history of the program (2,638 games), the Griffs have only played two contests that ended with the score reading 63-60.

4. Success in the Close Ones
Canisius' 63-60 win over Saint Peter's Jan. 23 improved the Griffs to 4-1 this year in games decided by five points or less. In six seasons under head coach Reggie Witherspoon, nearly 37 percent of Canisius' games have been decided by five points or fewer, and the Blue and Gold is 32-28 in those ball games.

5. No. 3 Moving Up the 3-Point List
Senior Jordan Henderson hit three 3-pointers in the win over Saint Peter's last Sunday, the 29th time in his career where he's made multiple 3-point field goals in a game. Henderson enters the game at Monmouth with 111 career 3-point makes, which ties him for 16th in school history with former Griff Dewitt Doss, who connected on 111 treys in his career from 2000-05.
