FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Canisius Returns to Action at Home Tuesday

The Canisius men's basketball team will play its first game in 20 days on Tuesday when the Golden Griffins play host to the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the Koessler Athletic Center. Game time is set for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Canisius had two games (at Saint Peter's Dec. 31 and at Siena Jan. 2) postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. The team's last game played was back on Dec. 22, when the Griffs defeated FGCU 97-90 in overtime.

2. Series History vs. Quinnipiac
Tuesday's game will be the 18th all-time meeting between the Griffs and the Bobcats, with Canisius leading the series 11-6. Last season, Canisius came off a 41-day COVID pause to defeat Quinnipiac twice on the road. The Griffs are 4-3 all-time at home against the Bobcats.

3. Let 'Em Fly
Tuesday's game between Canisius and Quinnipiac will feature the top-two 3-point shooting teams in the MAAC, with the two teams combining for 228 makes from long-range. Quinnipiac leads the MAAC and is tied for 32nd nationally in 3-pointers per game with 9.8 per contest, while Canisius ranks second in the MAAC and 95th in the country with 8.5 three-balls per outing. In the Griffs' win over FGCU Dec. 22, Canisius knocked down 13 3-pointers, the fifth time this season where the Blue and Gold had 10-or more treys in a game.

4. Hitchon's Hot Night
In the win over FGCU on Dec. 22, graduate student Scott Hitchon recorded his first career double-double with 28 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. For his efforts, Hitchon was honored as the MAAC's Player of the Week on Dec. 26. Since joining the starting line-up Dec. 18 vs. Buffalo, the Whitby, Ontario native is averaging 19.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

5. No. 3 Making Threes
Senior Jordan Henderson
hit a season-high five 3-pointers in the overtime win against FGCU Dec. 22, the 28th time in his career where he's hit multiple shots from behind the arc. His first 3-pointer against FGCU allowed him to become just the 18th Griff in program history to make 100-or more career 3-pointers, and he starts the Quinnipiac game as the program's active career leader in treys with 104 to his credit.
