Golf Closes Out Weekend at Turning Stone

The Canisius golf team closed out its trip to the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y., posting a team score of 337 on Monday. The Golden Griffins ended the tournament in 15th place.

Canisius freshman Ryan Edholm shot a final-round 79 on Monday and finished the tournament tied for 55th. Missouri, the host school, shot six-under as a team in the final round to come back and defeat LSU by two strokes. Missouri's Jack Parker and LSU's Mike Sanders tied for the individual medalist honors, as each golfer finished the tournament nine-under par.

The Griffs will be off until Sept. 20-21, when the team travels to take part in the Hartford Hawks Invitational in South Kent, Conn.
