Takacs Shoots 70 to Remain in the Top-10 at MAAC Championship

Canisius junior Mikey Takacs fired a two-under par score of 70 and remains tied for 10th in the field after the second round of the 2026 MAAC Men's Golf Championship, played Wednesday at Disney's Magnolia Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Takacs was one of 11 players in the field to shoot at-par or better on the par-72 track. His 70 on Wednesday, his ninth round at-par or better this season, featured three birdies and wrapped up with 13-straight holes without a bogey.

Sophomore Chase Burgess shot a 76 on Wednesday, while junior Jake Dantonio and freshmen Cole Thompson and Adam Cichowski all posted 79s in the second round.

As a team, Canisius is in 11th place, three strokes behind 10th-place Rider. Iona leads the team portion of the event with a 36-hole score of 575, which is one-under par.

The third and final round of the 2026 MAAC Golf Championship will tee-off on Thursday at 8 a.m.
