Junior Mikey Takacs posted his eighth round at-par or better with an opening round 70, as the Canisius golf team took part in 36-hole Roar-EE Invitational Saturday afternoon at Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston, N.Y.

Takacs fired a two-under par score of 70 in the opening round, and followed that effort with a 73 to record a two-round score of 143, which placed him in a tie for 14th. Freshman Adam Cichowski shot a second-round 74 to tie for 75th, while junior Jake Dantonio tied for 78th in the field with his two-round score of 154.

Fairfield won the team event by six strokes, as the Stags finished the 36-hole event with a team score of 15-under. Fairfield's Rasmus Ditzinger won the tournament's individual medalist honors with his two-round score of 133, which was 11-under par.

Canisius will travel to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., to take part in the 2026 MAAC Golf Championship April 28-30.
