FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Happy New Year!

The Canisius men's basketball starts the 2021 calendar year off with a pair of home games Jan. 1-2, as the Golden Griffins play host to Saint Peter's. The game on New Year's Day will be Canisius' first since the 2011-12 season, and it will be the 19th in program history. Friday's game on New Year's Day will also mark the first game for the program at the Koessler Athletic Center on Jan. 1.

2. Four with 10-or More
Canisius has four players, Majesty Brandon, Malek Green, Malik Brooks and Siem Uijtendaal, all score in double-figures in the team's loss at Monmouth Dec. 28. That marked the first time Canisius had four players with 10-or more points in a game since Feb. 12, 2020 when four Griffs recorded double-figures in the scoring column in a road loss at Niagara.

3. Milestone for Majesty
Canisius senior Majesty Brandon passed the 500-career point mark for his career on Dec. 28, with his 10 points in the road loss at Monmouth. Brandon reached the 500-point milestone in 36 career games. He trails fellow senior Scott Hitchon (557) for the team's lead in most career points scored among active players.

4. Green Grabs Rebounds
Canisius junior Malek Green had seven rebounds at Monmouth Dec. 28, making him the first Griff since Jamal Reynolds to pull down five-or more rebounds in their first four career games with the program. Green starts this weekend series with Saint Peter's averaging 8.0 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the MAAC.

5. Harried Hosting a Block Party
Sophomore Armon Harried has been credited with a total of four blocked shots through the team's first four games of the season, which ranks him first on the Griffs' roster and 11th in the MAAC with 1.0 blocks per contest.
