1. Canisius Looking for First MAAC Win on Sunday
• The Canisius men's basketball team returns to the court on Sunday when the Golden Griffins play at Saint Peter's in Jersey City, N.J. Canisius, which has lost six straight, enters Sunday's game at the Yanitelli Center looking for its first win in MAAC play this season after the team fell to Monmouth 84-65 on Friday night.


2. The Buffalo Stealer
•
As a team, Canisius has record
ed five-or-more steals in all 15 games to date after the Griffs had eight steals at Monmouth on Friday. Canisius ranks second in the MAAC and 38th in the nation with its 8.7 steals per game average.

3. Another Milestone Start for Malik
• Senior guard Malik Johnson will become just the fifth player in school history to start 115-or-more career games when his name is called in the starting line-up on Sunday. Johnson, who ranks seventh nationally in consecutive starts, has started ever game under Canisius head coach Reggie Witherspoon.


4. Freshmen 15
• Freshmen Jacco Fritz and Armon Harried each scored 15 points in the Griffs' loss at Monmouth on Friday. Fritz's 15 points came after he went 5-for-5 from the field, while Harried's 15-point effort matches his career high for points in a game, set previously Dec. 2 against Hofstra.

5. Brown Gets Blocks
•
Canisius senior Corey Brown came off the bench at Monmouth and scored four points to go with two rebounds, two assists, two steals and a career-high three blocked shots. Brown, who started his college career at Northern Arizona, will play his 98th career game on Sunday.
