Chipman's Even-Par Day Leads Golf

Canisius senior Jaret Chipman shot an even-par 72, and the Golden Griffin golf team recorded a team score of 307 for the second consecutive day, as the Blue and Gold took part in round two of the 2019 UConn Invitational at GreatHorse Golf Club in Hampden, Mass., Monday afternoon.
 
Chipman moved up 16 spots on the leaderboard with his 72 on Monday, and he will enter the final round on Tuesday tied for 10th. As a team, the Griffs are in 13th place out of 14 teams, just seven strokes back of sixth-place Siena.
 
GRIFFS LINEUP
Chipman's 72 marked his second round of par or better this fall season, and it gives him a two-round total of 148, which is four-over par for the tournament. Freshman Shane Broad shot a 77 on Monday, while sophomore Mike Donner carded at 78. Both Michael Wells and Matt Genaway shot 80 in the event's second round.

The final round of the UConn Invitational is set to tee-off Tuesday, with players going off No. 1 and No. 10 tee, starting at 8:30 a.m.
