Baseball Adds Mid-Summer Instructional Showcase

The Canisius baseball team and head coach Matt Mazurek announced Wednesday the addition of a 2019 Mid-Summer Instructional Showcase for high-school aged players. The showcase will take place on July 17 at the Demske Sports Complex, starting at 5 p.m.

Participants will be able to receive proper instruction, which will enhance their present skill level. Participants will also be able to showcase their individual skills in front of the entire Canisius coaching staff.

The cost of registration for the event is $50. This mid-summer showcase is open to any and all entrants ages 15-18.

Showcase Schedule:

4:30 PM                       Sign-In/Registration
5:00 PM                       Introduction/Warm-up
5:20 PM                       Offensive Instruction/Batting Practice
6:00 PM                       Throwing Work
6:20 PM                       Defensive Instruction/Defensive Workout
7:00 PM                       Simulated Coach-Controlled Game
8:00 PM                       Showcase Ends

The showcase is in addition to the Griffs' annual instructional summer camp, which is set to take place July 22-25 and is open to ages 8-15. The cost of the camp is $175.
