Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays Monmouth in MAAC Semifinals
1. Canisius Returns to the MAAC Semifinal
• After defeating Manhattan 69-65 in overtime Friday night in the MAAC Championship quarterfinal round, Canisius plays Monmouth Sunday night at 8:30 p.m., on ESPNU in the tournament's second semifinal game. This marks the first time since 2014, and just the fourth time since 2000, where the Blue and Gold have played in the conference tournament's semifinal round.


2. Working Overtime
• Canisius' win over Manhattan on Friday in overtime ending the team's three-game losing skid in overtime contests which dated back to Dec. 22, 2016. All-time in MAAC Championship action, Canisius is
3-1 in overtime in conference tournament action, with all three wins coming in Albany.

3. Look, We're On TV!
•
Tonight's MAAC Championship semifinal round game will be broadcast live to a national TV audience on ESPNU, the sixth national TV game of the season for the Blue and Gold, which sets a new program record. Sunday's game will be the fifth time the Griffs have played on ESPNU this season, where the team is 4-1. The previous record for national TV games in a season was held by the 2013-14 team, which appeared on national television five times.

4. JB Shines in OT
•
Jibreel Faulkner matched a career-high with 20 points in the win over Manhattan Friday night, with eight of those points coming in the overtime period.
He also grabbed eight rebounds, matching a career-high, to go along with a career-best three assists. Faulkner scored 20 points in each of the team's two games this season against Manhattan.

5. Perfect Night for White
• Jalanni White matched a career-high with 16 points in the win over the Jaspers on Friday after he went a perfect 7-for-7 from the field. Those seven makes on seven chances set a new program record for consecutive makes in a MAAC Tournament game.
