Men's 4x800 Relay Team Sets School Record at ECAC/IC4A Championships

The men's relay team of Paul Henry, Josh Sopchak, Connor Doran and Turner Dirrigl set a new program record in the 4x800 Saturday afternoon in Boston, Mass.

The Golden Griffin relay team finished sixth in their heat of the 4x800 with a time of 7:44.99, three seconds faster than the previous record that stood for 20 years.

Unfortunately, The time wasn't good enough to qualify for the 4x800 final tomorrow afternoon.

Senior Carlin Sullivan ran in the 5,000 meters final, crossing the line with a career-best time of 17:24.72 in eighth place. The time is the second best time in Canisius indoor track history.

The ECAC/IC4A Championships concluded the Griffs indoor season. Canisius will begin its outdoor track season March 29-30 at the Raleigh Relay's, hosted by N.C. State.
