Five Things to Know Before Canisius Meets Monmouth
1. Another Night on TV
• Canisius returns to national broadcast TV on Friday night when the Golden Griffins travel to play at Monmouth, with tip-off set for 7 p.m., live on ESPNU. This game marks the fourth time this year where the Blue and Gold have appeared on national television, the most for the program since the 2013-14 campaign.

2. Trending Upward
• Canisius saw its three-game win streak snapped last Sunday with the loss to Manhattan, but the Griffs enter Friday's game with wins coming in four of their last six and seven of their last 10 outings, dating back to Jan. 17, at Fairfield. In two-plus seasons under head coach Reggie Witherspoon, Canisius is 16-7 in the month of February and 32-22 in games played after Jan. 1.

3. Road Dogs
•
Canisius heads on the road for its final two road games this season with a MAAC-best eight road victories this season, with six of those road wins coming in MAAC play. As of Feb. 21, the Griffs are one of 27 teams nationally to have eight or more wins on the road.

4. Johnson on a Record-Setting Pace
•
Junior guard Malik Johnson enters Friday's game riding a record-pace when it comes to sharing the basketball, as he's been credited with seven-or more assists in seven-straight games, dating back to Jan. 30 at Niagara. In the loss to Manhattan last Sunday, Johnson matched a career-high with nine assists, the third time in this streak where hes dished out nine assists in a game. In MAAC games, he leads the conference in assists per game average with 6.2 per contest.

5. MAAC Sanks
• Senior Jonathan Sanks knocked down three 3-point field goals in the loss to Manhattan last Sunday, the ninth time in the team's last 10 games where he's recorded multiple makes from 3-point land. A starter in the team's last six contests, 72.4 percent of Sanks' 3-pointers in a Canisius uniform have come against MAAC opponents.
