MAAC Announces Indoor Track All-Academic Teams

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the 2019 Indoor Track All-Academic Teams Friday afternoon. A total of 24 Canisius indoor track student-athletes were honored by the conference, 13 on the women's side and 11 from the men's team.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

A total of five seniors from the men's team were honored, including Alex Cambria, Patrick Crowley, Austin Oetinger, Josh Sopchak and Brandon Williams. Juniors Anthony Belfatto, Henry Burton, Nick Neamtu and Nicholas Spinosa also qualified for the All-Academic team, along with sophomores Turner Dirrigl and Connor Doran.

For the women, graduate student Carlin Sullivan, seniors Christian Conner, Aileen Doyle, Hannah Latragna, Siobhan Quinn, Katie Simon and Kari Tutie were honored by the league. Juniors Rachel Joachimi and Jackie Lamica, as well as sophomores Grace Hausladen, Isabella Iadicicco, Isabella Jankowski and Leah Wardner round out the Golden Griffins on the All-Academic team.
