Golf Finishes Out Play at UConn Invitational

The Canisius golf team posted a three-round score of 924 to place 13th at the 2019 UConn Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday at GreatHorse Golf Club in Hampden, Mass.
 
Senior Jaret Chipman carded a three-over-par score of 75 on Tuesday to end the tournament with a score of 223, which placed him 14th in the field. The 14th place finish marks Chipman's 11th top-20 career performance.
 
GRIFFS LINEUP
Chipman's score of 223 stands as his lowest tournament score for the fall season. Junior Matt Genaway shot a 77 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 50th in the field, while junior Michael Wells earned a tie for 59th after he carded an 80 in the third round.

NEXT ON THE TEE
The Griffs will return to the course Oct. 7-8 when the team takes part in the Matthew Auto Collegiate, hosted by Binghamton. That 36-hole event will be played at the Links at Hiawatha in Apalachian, N.Y.
