Five Things to Know Before Canisius Opens Its Three-Game Homestand
1. Griffs Move to 2-0 In MAAC Play
• Canisius' 70-66 win over Siena Jan. 5, moved the Golden Griffins to 2-0 in MAAC play for the second-straight season and for just the seventh time in program history. This year also marks the second time since 1989-90 where the Blue and Gold started the MAAC slate with a 2-0 record after winning two road games. The only other time the Griffs started league play with two-straight road wins was 2012-13.

2. Picking Up Where They Left Off
• After setting a school record with 15 MAAC wins a season ago, this year's Griffs kept the winning ways going in conference play last weekend with road wins at Marist and Siena. In their last 20 league games, the Griffs are 17-3, which is tied for the program's best record in a 20-game MAAC stretch. The 1993-94 and 1994-95 Griffs went a combined 17-3 over a 20-game span as well.

3. Closing Out Non-League Play
• Canisius will officially close out the
non-league portion of the 2018-19 slate tonight when Brown comes to the Koessler Athletic Center. The Griffs' 12 non-league opponents, including Brown, have a combined record of 103-75, and two teams (Florida State and Buffalo) are ranked in this week's Associated Press Top-25 poll.

4. Molson Goes for 20-Plus, Again
• Canisius sophomore Takal Molson scored a game-high 23 points in the team's road win at Siena on Saturday, his fourth game of 20-or more points scored this season. Molson enters tonight's game averaging 17.1 points per game, which ranks fourth in the MAAC.

5. Eight is Great for White
• Sophomore forward Jalanni White matched his career-high with eight points in the win over Siena on Saturday, with all eight of those points coming in the game's second half. That eight-point effort marks the fourth time in his career (second time this season) where the New Haven, Conn., posted eight points in the scoring column. He also grabbed eight rebounds in the win over the Saints - which is a new career high.
