Canisius completes its four-game homestand this weekend when it hosts Atlantic Hockey Association foe Bentley for a pair of league contests at Harborcenter in downtown Buffalo.

The series opener is set for a 7:35 p.m. puck drop on Friday. The teams conclude their series the following afternoon with a 4:35 p.m. matinee. Saturday's contest will also serve as Hall of Fame Day, with the Canisius Athletic Department honoring its 2019 Hall of Fame Class during the first intermission.

Scouting Canisius
• Sitting in tenth place in the Atlantic Hockey Association standings with a 6-10-2 league record, Canisius looks to close out January on a high note as it puts the finishing touches on its season-long homestand.
• Senior Dylan McLaughlin has remained the focal point of the Griffs attack, pacing the squad in goals (14) and points (27) while ranking second in assists (13). McLaughlin looks to continue his ascension in the Canisius record books as he begins the weekend ranked among the top four spots on the program's Division I era points (134/2nd), goals (53/4th) and assists (81/4th) charts.
• Junior Nick Hutchison sits second on the team's scoring list with 20 points (10g, 10a). Hutchison ranks second on the team in both goals and power-play goals (4), trailing only McLaughlin in both categories.
• Senior defensemen Cameron Heath (4g, 13a) and Jimmy Mazza (3g, 14a) are part of a three-way tie for third on the team in scoring with sophomore forward Grant Meyer (5g, 12a). Heath leads all Griffs blueliners in goals while Mazza ranks first on the team in assists.
• Canisius will look to build off its success on the power play last weekend as it was 4-for-10 (.400) with the man advantage against Robert Morris, compared to just 1-for-22 (.045) with the extra skater in its previous six contests.
• The Griffs have struggled to keep the puck out of their own net this season as they rank 60th in the nation in scoring defense (4.00). Canisius has allowed four or more goals in a game on 13 occasions in 2018-19, posting a 2-11-0 record in those contests.

Canisius Posts Split of AHA Series Versus RMU
• Canisius opened a four-game homestand last weekend with a split of an Atlantic Hockey Association series against Robert Morris at Harborcenter.
• The series opener saw the Colonials score four goals in the second period to break a 2-2 tie and cruise to a 7-2 triumph.
• Seniors Cameron Heath and Felix Chamberland accounted for the two goals for the Griffs in game one. Heath also added an assist for his fourth multiple-point contest of the campaign.
• Game two saw Canisius score three times in a 6:24 span during the first period to build an early cushion before holding off a late Colonials rally to record a 6-4 victory. The Griffs made the most of their power-play opportunities, going 3-for-5 with the man advantage
• Six different Griffs found the back of the net during the contest, with juniors Matt Hoover and Nick Hutchison leading the way as the duo added a pair of assists to their respective power-play goals to finish with three points each.
• With a goal and an assist in the series finale, senior Dylan McLaughlin moved into sole possession of second place on the program's Division I era scoring chart with 134.
• Senior Matt McLeod also pitched in a goal and an assist, giving him his second multiple-point performance in the last three outings.

Scouting Bentley
• Currently located in eighth place in the Atlantic Hockey Association standings with a 7-7-2 league mark, Bentley looks to continue its solid play as it makes its way to Buffalo riding a five-game unbeaten streak (3-0-2).
• Sophomore Luke Santerno has paced the Falcon attack this season, racking up a team-high 22 points on the strength of a team-best 15 assists.
• Senior forward Drew Callin serves as the squad's top goal-scoring threat, having posted a team-best eight goals this season.
• Junior goaltender Aidan Pelino has started all 22 games played by the Falcons this season, posting a 2.85 goals against average and a .895 save percentage in 1283 minutes of action.
