Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays at Saint Peter's
1. Super Bowl Sunday and the Griffs
• Canisius will play Saint Peter's on Sunday just hours before Super Bowl LII kicks off in Minnesota. This will mark the 15th time the Griffs have hit the hardwood in advance of the "big game", and it will be the first time since the 2015-16 season. Canisius is 5-9 all-time on Super Bowl Sunday
.

2. Double-Double x Two
• Senior Jermaine Crumpton and freshman Takal Molson each recorded the second double-double
in their respective careers on Friday as the Golden Griffins scored a 73-67 win at Marist. Crumpton scored 18 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds, while Molson was good for 21 points while matching a career best with 10 boards. Friday's game marked the first time two Griffs had a double-double in the same game since Dec. 29, 2013 when former Griffs Jordan Heath and Chris Manhertz had double-double performances in an overtime loss at Notre Dame.

3. Crumpton's Career Night - Take Two
• Senior Jermaine Crumpton matched a career-high with 32 points in the team's loss to Niagara last Saturday, and then followed that effort by grabbing a career-high 16 rebounds in the win at Marist Friday night. Nine of Crumpton's boards came off the offensive glass - and his 16-rebound performance stands as the most rebounds in a game by a Griff since former big man Josiah Heath grabbed 17 boards against Marist Feb. 1, 2015.

4. Reese Adds Another 20
• Canisius sophomore Isaiah Reese had 21 points in the win at Marist on Friday, his fourth 20-plus point game in the team's last five contests. Canisius is 4-0 in that stretch when the Miami, Fla., native has been good for 20-or more points. He starts Sunday's game at Saint Peter's ranked seventh in the MAAC in scoring average with 16.6 points per game.

5. Faulkner Continues to Add from the Bench
• Canisius junior Jibreel Faulkner scored eight points and grabbed a career-high six rebounds in a career-best 13 minutes off the bench in the win at Marist on Friday. Included in his eight points came two slam dunk buckets, including one on a breakaway after he stole a Marist pass at midcourt. Faulkner is averaging 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game since returning to the Griffs' active roster Jan. 7.
