Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays Saint Peter's
1. Griffs Get Back Home, Starting Friday

• The Canisius men's basketball team opens a brief two-game homestand Friday night when the Golden Griffins play host to Saint Peter's in the Koessler Athletic Center. The Griffs saw their five-game winning streak come to an end last Sunday when the team lost on the road to Siena by the score of 65-62. Canisius is 5-1 at home this season, having won three-straight home dates since the Dec. 19 victory over Elon.

2. No More Giveaways
• Canisius set a program record for fewest turnovers in a MAAC game on Sunday when the Blue and Gold was charged with three turnovers in the loss at Siena. The Griffs are averaging 14.1 turnovers per game this season, and since Dec. 2, the team has improved in allowing points off turnovers. In the team's first seven games, opposing squads were averaging 20.0 points per game off turnovers against the Griffs, but in the last 10 outings, Canisius has trimmed that to just 14.0 points per game.

3. Molson Proving He Belongs
• Canisius freshman Takal Molson scored a game-high 21 points in the loss at Siena, his third game of 20-or more points scored this season. Through his first four career MAAC games, the Buffalo native is averaging 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, which ranks in the top-10 in both categories during conference play. Molson is one of two MAAC freshmen to be ranked in the top-10 in both scoring and rebounding average through the early part of the MAAC slate, joining with Rider forward Frederick Scott.

4. Man of Steal
• Canisius sophomore Isaiah Reese ranks second in the MAAC and 43rd nationally with his 2.1 steals per game. In the loss at Siena last Sunday, the Miami, Fla, native matched a career-high with five steals, set previously against Feb. 26, 2017 at home against Saint Peter's. Reese has at least one steal in nine-straight game for the Griffs.

5. Crumpton Moves Closer to 1,300
• Canisius senior Jermaine Crumpton enters Friday's game with 1,291 career points, leaving him nine points shy of becoming the 17th player in school history to reach the 1,300 career points scored. The Niagara Falls, N.Y., native scored 11 points in the loss at Siena to extend his streak of scoring in double-figures to 13-straight games.
