Golf Finishes Ninth at Colonial Classic

The Canisius golf team posted a team score of 319 on Tuesday, led by junior Mark Lesinski and his five-over par 77, as the team ended its two-round effort at the RMU Colonial Classic at Mountour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, Pa.

The Golden Griffins' two-round team score of 663 ranked the Blue and Gold ninth in the field. Host Robert Morris won the team tournament title after the Colonials shot a two-round score of 605.

Lesinski's 77 on Tuesday gave hime a 36-hole score of 163, which tied him for 30th overall. Humber College's Connor Watt won individual medalist honors with her two-round tally of 148.

Canisius will travel to South Bend, Ind., April 15 to take part in the Battle of the Warren.
