CANISIUS HEADS WEST FOR MOTOWN COLLEGIATE

• The Canisius College golf team continues its fall season Oct. 16-17 when the Golden Griffins take part in the six-team Titan Motown Collegiate tournament, hosted by Detroit Mercy.
• The Titan Motown Collegiate is a 54-hole event, with teams playing 36 holes on Monday, and then 18 on Tuesday.
• Canisius is the only MAAC school in the field. Four of the teams are from the Horizon League, including host Detroit Mercy.
• This marks the first time Canisius has played in Detroit's fall event.

GRIFFS PLACE 12TH AT BUCKNELL INVITATIONAL
• Canisius' team score of 604, highlighted by a fall-season best tally of 297, allowed the Griffs to place 12th in the 17-team Bucknell Invitational Oct. 7-8 in Lewisburg, Pa.
• Senior Mark Lesinski and freshman Michael Wells tied for 36th in the field, as both players carded a two-round score of 150.
• The two-round score of 150 stands as the lowest of the fall season for Lesinski, while Wells' 72 in the first round at Bucknell's par-70 track is his lowest collegiate round.

NEXT ON THE TEE
• The Griffs will close out the 2017 fall season Thursday, Oct. 19 when the Blue and Gold take part in the annual Little Three Championship. That 36-hole event will be played at Niagara Falls Country Club.
