Brett Siddall was
selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Siddall wins the award for the first time in his career.
Siddall
hit .500 on the week in his three starts, going 5-for-10 with five RBI in the
sweep of Murray State. Siddall had two multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games
on the weekend. The Windsor, Ontario native posted a hit, recorded an RBI and
scored a run in all three games. Siddall also recorded an outfield assist by
throwing a runner out at second base in the first game of Sunday's
doubleheader.
In
10 games (nine starts) this season, Siddall is hitting .313 with seven RBI. He
also has three doubles, a .414 slugging percentage and a .405 on-base
percentage to go along with a 1.000 fielding percentage in 32 chances.
Canisius (7-4), coming off a sweep at Murray
State last weekend, returns to the field for a four-game series at Longwood
this weekend. First pitch for the single game on Friday is set for 3 p.m.
