Cory Conacher has wasted no time translating his success from Canisius into the professional ranks. The program's all-time leading scorer, Conacher has thrived in his four first games with the Rochester Americans of the AHL and the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

Conacher signed with Rochester after finishing his career at Canisius, playing two games with the team. The Burlington, Ontario native scored his first professional goal in just his second game, lighting the lamp against Syracuse on Saturday.

The 2009-10 Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year then added to his early success while playing with the Cyclones in Cincinnati. In two games, Conacher has totaled seven points, five goals, two assists and a plus/minus rating of +5. He recorded four points on two goals (including the game-winning tally) and two assists in a 4-3 victory against Toledo on Sunday. Conacher then recorded his first professional hat trick, scoring three goals in a 6-1 win over Kalamazoo on Wednesday.

During his four-year career with the Golden Griffins, Conacher set or matched 12 career, single-season and single game records. He owns the program's standards of 147 points, 62 goals and 12 game-winning tallies. He also set the school's records with 53 points and 33 assists during his junior campaign, while breaking the goals mark with 23 in his senior campaign.

Conacher is one of three Griffs to sign professional contracts following the 2010-11 campaign. He is joined by classmates Vincent Scarsella and Eric Rex, who signed with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the CHL, respectively. Scarsella has appeared in six games with an assist and a +2 rating, while Rex is set to make his debut in game one of the playoffs against the Allen Americans on Thursday.
