  • Canisius plays two road games in three days, starting at New Hampshire on Saturday.
  • Canisius has won four of its last five after Wednesday's 56-38 win over Youngstown State.

  • Senior Amanda Cavo ranks second in the Canisius record books in made 3-point field goals with 213 in her career.
  • Entering the week, Canisius ranked eighth in the country in free-throw percentage at 78.5 percen. Warner entered the week 11th in the country and leads the MAAC at 93.8 percent.
  • Canisius holds the NCAA Division I record for consecutive games with a made 3-pointer, having made a 3-pointer in 430 consecutive games.
CANISIUS VS. NEW HAMPSHIRE
  • Canisius and New Hampshire are meeting for the second time with the other meeting between the teams coming on Jan. 6, 1994, a 74-61 victory for New Hampshire.
  • New Hampshire is the second America East opponent for the Griffs this season as Canisius defeated Binghamton 79-73 on Nov. 29.
  • Canisius is 7-9 all-time against America East schools ? 2-1 vs. UMBC, 1-4 vs. Vermont, 1-1 vs. Boston University, 3-1 vs. Binghamton, 0-1 vs. New Hampshire and 0-1 vs. Maine. Canisius has never played Hartford, Albany or Stony Brook.
NOTES FROM THE YOUNGSTOWN STATE GAME
  • Canisius forced 33 turnovers, the most by a Canisius opponent since Dec. 30, 1998, when Colgate had 34 turnovers.
  • The 56 points by the Griffs were the fewest in a win since a 51-48 victory over Manhattan Jan. 25, 2008
  • The 17 steals by the Griffs were the most since they had 18 against Colgate Nov. 12, 2007
  • The 13 points were the fewest allowed by the Griffs in the first half since they allowed 12 to Colgate on Nov. 12, 2007.
  • The 29 percent field-goal shooting was the lowest by the Griffs in a win since Nov. 17, 2006, when the Golden Griffins shot 27.5 percent in a 48-44 win over Maryland Eastern Shore.
  • The 13.6 percent on 3-pointers was the lowest by the Griffs in the Koessler Athletic Center since Jan. 7, 2006, when they shot 6.7 percent (1-for-15) against Marist.
  • Senior Marie Warner had a career-high five steals. Senior JJ Williams had a career-high four steals. Sophomore Micayla Drysdale tied a career-high with seven assists and set a career high with three steals.
  • Canisius held Youngstown State to 31.8 percent shooting and improved to 36-4 under Terry Zeh when holding the opponent to under 35 percent from the field. The Griffs also improved to 13-0 under Zeh when holding the opponent to 50 points or fewer.
NEW HAMPSHIRE SCOUT
  • New Hampshire enters Saturday's game with a 2-6 record after defeating Northeastern 70-62 on Sunday.
  • The Wildcats have won two of their last three games, also defeating Colgate 89-61 Dec. 5, before losing to Boston College 85-43 Dec. 9.
  • Sophomore forward Candace Williams leads the team at 15.4 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game.
  • Williams was named America East Player of the Week on Monday after averaging a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) in New Hampshire's two games last week.
  • Sophomore guard Amy Simpson is second on the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game and has made a team-leading 19 3-pointers.
  • In the nine-team America East, the Wildcats rank fourth in scoring, ninth in scoring defense, second in field goal percentage, sixth in field goal percentage defense fifth in rebounding margin and eighth in turnover margin.
  • Kristin Cole is in her second season at New Hampshire. The 1994 graduate of the University of Notre Dame came to New Hampshire after serving as an assistant coach at Xavier from 2002-07.
