Michael Knott To Play For Golden Griffin Golf Team

Canisius College golf coach Todd Hummel announced today that Michael Knott (Buffalo, N.Y.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Griffin golf program starting with the fall 2007 season.

“Mike will be a great addition to this young team,” Hummel said. “He brings a competitive consistency that this team needs to continue to improve within our conference.”

The Canisius High School graduate was a three-time member of the All-Catholic team, on his way to four straight All-Catholic Championships. During his senior season for the Crusaders, Knott boasted a 36.3 scoring average and was voted the team's Most Valuable Player. Knott was also a member of the Canisius High School hockey team during his freshman and sophomore years.
