Krajewski Selected to Represent Canisius at NCAA Conference

BUFFALO, N.Y. ? Canisius College junior Rob Krajewski (Williamsville, N.Y.), a member of the men's golf team, has been selected to represent Canisius at the 2004 NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference. The conference, a collection of the nation's top student-athletes, consists of 324 representatives selected from a total of 1,175 nominations from NCAA institutions that participate in the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program. The conference will be held May 30 through June 3 at Disney's Wide World of Sports and Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Sophomore Cathleen Mulvey (Tecumseh, Ont.), a member of the women's soccer team, was chosen as the alternate for Canisius.

The mission of the NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference is to provide a diverse group of the nation's top student-athletes an opportunity to actively participate in challenging and thought-provoking activities that will enable them to become better leaders on their campuses and in their communities. As a result of participation, the student-athletes will enhance their communication skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills, critical-thinking skills, and collaborative skills. The conference also promotes better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities.

“We are extremely happy for Rob,” said Canisius Senior Associate Athletic Director Jennifer Zeh. “Rob has really started to take on more of a leadership role in the past year. He has a personal interest in making our program better and connecting with other student-athletes.”
