Ohio's High Power Attack Overpowers Women's Lacrosse

Four Ohio Bobcats scored three goals each to help lead visiting Ohio University to a 19-1 win over Canisius College in women's lacrosse action Sunday morning at the Demske Sports Complex. The win improves Ohio to 8-4 overall, while Canisius falls to 4-7 on the year.

Lindsey Hart, Melissa Menna, Alyssa Trocher and Becky Oxman each scored three times in the win, while sophomore Lynz Keys added two tallies in the winning effort. Hart added three assists to her three goal outburst, and lead all players with six points.

Canisius senior Kristy Grossman scored the Golden Griffins' lone goal 3:18 into the contest to tie the game at 1-1. Grossman forced three turnovers and collected a game-high six ground balls.

Ohio goalkeepers Jennifer Cassidy and Katie Borokhovich made three saves, with Cassidy allowing the lone goal.

Canisius will host Mercyhurst April 23, at the Demske Sports Complex. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
