Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2026 Schedule

Canisius head women's lacrosse coach Russell Allen revealed the 2026 schedule on Tuesday, featuring an even split of eight home games and eight road dates over the 16-game slate.

The Golden Griffins start their fifth season under Allen's guidance with a home matchup against Detroit Mercy (Feb. 10). A trip to Robert Morris (Feb. 13) follows Canisius' season debut before returning home to host Eastern Michigan (Feb. 18). The month of February closes with a three-game road swing, beginning with a visit to Akron (Feb. 21) and including stops at ACC foe Louisville (Feb. 25) and Austin Peay (Feb. 27).

March gets underway with the final two non-conference contests of the campaign as the Griffs host regional rivals Mercyhurst (March 5) and Le Moyne (March 11). Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play begins with a trip to Manhattan (March 21) and continues at home with a matchup against Quinnipiac (March 25). A road contest at defending MAAC Tournament champion Fairfield (March 28) brings the month of March to a close.

A home date with Battle of the Bridge rival Niagara signals the start of April's slate that continues with a home contest versus Marist (April 4). Road matchups with Sacred Heart (April 8) and Mount St. Mary's (April 11) serve as the final road tests of the regular season while a home date versus Rider (April 18) brings the regular season to a close.

The 2026 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship will once again be a six-team tournament. First round contests are scheduled for campus sites on April 26 while the semifinals and finals are slated for May 1 and 3 at the regular-season champion. The winner of the MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship receives the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
